We're Taking Jesus to the World

Who We Are

Outpost Church was planted by Pastor Eric and his family out of a deep conviction:

The church must return to biblical discipleship.

We saw too many believers comfortable in sin, disconnected from community, and uncommitted to the local church. We felt God’s call to plant a church that would stand on truth, extend grace, and make disciples—no matter the cost.

We started small.
We started with prayer.
We started with obedience.

And we believe God is building something lasting.

Our Beliefs

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God, sufficient for all matters of faith and life. All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16-17). It is our final authority in doctrine, conduct, and practice.

Scripture References:  • 2 Timothy 3:16-17  • 2 Peter 1:20-21

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is sovereign, holy, just, loving, and eternal, and He works all things according to His will (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19).

Scripture References:  • Genesis 1:1  • Deuteronomy 6:4  • Matthew 28:19  • Isaiah 6:3

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitutionary atonement for sinners, was buried, and rose bodily on the third day. His resurrection guarantees justification for all who believe (Romans 4:25).

Scripture References:  • John 1:1,14  • Luke 1:34-35  • 1 Peter 2:22  • 1 Corinthians 15:3-4  • Romans 4:25

We believe the Holy Spirit is personally God, active in convicting the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Spirit indwells, empowers, guides, and sanctifies believers, equipping them for service and producing spiritual fruit (Galatians 5:22-23; John 16:8).

Scripture References:  • John 16:8-13  • Galatians 5:22-23  • Romans 8:9  • Acts 1:8

We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is not earned by works, but is a gift from God to those who repent of sin and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (Ephesians 2:8-9). True faith is evidenced by obedience, repentance, and discipleship.

Scripture References:  • Ephesians 2:8-9  • Romans 10:9-10  • James 2:17  • Acts 2:38

We believe repentance is a turning from sin to God, and sanctification is the lifelong process of being transformed into the image of Christ through the Spirit. The believer is called to die to self, kill sin, and obey God fully (Romans 12:1-2; Colossians 3:5-10).

Scripture References:  • Romans 12:1-2  • Colossians 3:5-10  • 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4  • Philippians 2:12-13

We believe the Church is God’s covenant community of baptized believers, called to worship, disciple, serve, and proclaim the gospel. The Church is not optional for the believer, and every member is called to be active in fellowship, service, and accountability (Hebrews 10:24-25; Matthew 28:19-20).

Scripture References:  • Matthew 28:19-20  • Acts 2:42-47  • Hebrews 10:24-25  • Ephesians 4:11-13

We observe two biblical ordinances:  1. Baptism – a public declaration of faith and identification with Christ’s death and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4).  2. The Lord’s Supper – a memorial of Christ’s sacrifice, reminding believers of His body broken and blood shed for sin (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

We believe God equips every believer with spiritual gifts to serve the Church and build His kingdom. Gifts are to be exercised in love, accountability, and for the edification of the body (1 Corinthians 12:4-11; 1 Peter 4:10).

Scripture References:  • 1 Corinthians 12:4-11  • 1 Peter 4:10  • Romans 12:6-8

We believe Jesus Christ will return bodily, visibly, and gloriously to judge the living and the dead. This event will bring reward for the faithful and judgment for the unrepentant (Acts 1:11; Revelation 22:12-13).

Scripture References:  • Acts 1:11  • Revelation 22:12-13  • 2 Timothy 4:1

We submit every area of life to the authority of God’s Word. Truth is not determined by culture, opinion, or convenience, but by Scripture. Believers are called to obedience, courage, and radical faith (Psalm 119:105; John 14:15).

Scripture References:  • Psalm 119:105  • John 14:15  • James 1:22

Every believer is called to make disciples, raise spiritual warriors, and glorify God in all areas of life. Salvation is not merely private; it produces fruit in obedience, service, and evangelism (Matthew 28:19-20; John 15:8).

Scripture References:  • Matthew 28:19-20  • John 15:8  • Colossians 1:28
